Big Brum CPD: Living in the world of Jekyll and Hyde

    • Tuesday 19th November 2024
    • 12:30 - 15:00
    • Join Big Brum Theatre Company for an exploratory CPD session on 'Jekyll and Hyde,' where English and Drama teachers will work with actors and the director to uncover ways to engage young people with classic texts. Participants will receive teaching resources and a 10% discount on the Spring Tour of 'Jekyll & Hyde

Sangat Studios CPD: Responsible media and cyber phronosis

    • Tuesday 26th November 2024
    • 10:00 - 12:30
    • Join Sangat Studio for a CPD session on teaching responsible media, which integrates character education with digital skills to help students make wise online decisions. Teachers will explore hands-on strategies like creating podcasts and using green screen editing to enhance their digital media skills and strengthen PSHE lessons.
    • Ideal for Drama Teachers, English Teachers, PSHE Teachers, Media Teachers and Teachers in both Primary and Secondary Schools that are looking to develop digital methods of teaching

Secondary Drama Network - Practical Skills and Movement within theatre

    • Wednesday 6th November 2024
    • 14:00 - 16:00
    • This dynamic session led by Birmingham Repertory Theatre will equip educators with essential acting techniques, improvisation strategies, and interactive exercises to enhance voice, movement, and character development, helping to inspire and build confidence in students.

Secondary Art Network -  Deep Dives in Art Departments

    • Thursday 7th November 2024
    • 16:00 - 18:00
    • This session, led by Jo Baptiste, will provide an in-depth look at KS3 and KS4 schemes of work and assessments. Participants will engage in discussions with experienced Heads of Department to understand how Ofsted views art education, supporting the development of their curriculum aims.

Secondary Dance Network -  A Toolkit for Creative Dance for Special Schools and Primary schools and early career Secondary Dance Teachers

    • This session, facilitated by Clare Pring from FABRIC, will provide teachers with a toolkit of creative dance activities for children aged 6 to 11. It aims to help educators plan and deliver engaging dance lessons, offering fresh skills and insights while light refreshments are included.

Secondary Dance Network - Teacher CPD Workshop with Rambert Dance Company

    • FABRIC invites teachers, practitioners, and group leaders to an inspiring day facilitated by Rambert Dance Company. This event will provide a choreographic toolkit for creatively engaging with young people in workshops and performances. Refreshments and lunch are included. Funded by the Centre for Advanced Training and supported by Birmingham Arts School.

Secondary Art Network - Exploring Expressive Drawing Techniques
