What is Character Education?
Character education centres on intentionally fostering positive personal traits called virtues, such as compassion, determination, gratitude and critical thinking in our students. It encompasses all of the planned and unplanned, implicit and explicit, activities that help young people to become the best versions of themselves. In other words, character education is the provision that schools put in place to allow their students to flourish. The BEP Pedagogy Showcase will hear from 4 published keynote speakers who will be sharing their thoughts and ideas around this topic. We also have 4 authors from the ‘In Action’ book series who will be running workshops to discuss their findings through their research.
