In this session we will be exploring why we need to ensure we have an established assessment and identification pathway for learners. We will consider the statutory guidance\u00E2\u20AC\u2039 and the tools available for assessment across the four areas of need to support SENDCOs.
Teacher SEND Shorts: Effective use of visual aids
In this session we will explore a variety of visual aids that support students in developing their independent learning skills. Focusing on how to effectively implement approaches such as dual coded displays, task boards and TEACHH tray systems.
Walkthrus Development Day
We are pleased to welcome Matt Stone, Director of Education & Operations from the Walkthrus Development Team to host our next Walkthrus Development Day. Matt will focus on Instructional Coaching using the Walkthrus Tool Kits. This session will be applicable if you are already using the toolkit or if you want to know more.
New to Subject Leadership
This training will provide an introduction to the key components of effective subject leadership in the primary school setting. It will promote self-evaluation and reflection throughout and provide networking opportunities with other leaders to foster shared learning as well as peer support.
Teacher SEND Shorts: Adaptive Teaching (modelling and scaffolding)
Regular opportunities to access training for teachers in supporting pupils with SEND in the classroom. In this session we will focus on high quality, adaptive teaching for learners with SEND. We will explore evidence-based research in effective modelling and classroom strategies for scaffolding learning.

In this session we will explore the use of provision mapping and one-page profiles in supporting teachers to understand and address the individual needs of their learners. We will also consider the strategic deployment of teaching assistants when delivering targeted intervention.
