UNDERSTANDING QUALITY AND MONITORING TO DEVELOP & IMPLEMENT EFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT PLANS IN THE EYFS

Overview:

This course will enable the headteacher and EYFS lead to develop a joint understanding of what quality looks like in early years education. (Both the headteacher and EYFS lead will attend the session together)

There will be an opportunity to consider different monitoring tools and to consider the schools current self-evaluation and development plan for early years during the session.

NB:Delegates should bring their current early years development plan to this session.

Course Outcomes:

• Attending this course will support understanding of what leads to effective practice within the EYFS.
• Delegates will improve their knowledge and confidence in when using different monitoring tools, appropriate to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Delegates will review their school’s strategic documentation for the EYFS.
