Leading, managing and monitoring Religious Education

How do we develop the mental model of our teachers and leaders? This session will brief Subject Leaders on the latest Ofsted report – ‘Deep and meaningful?’ and explore how we can respond to the recommendations in our schools as RE Leads. We will explore some of the essentials of leadership as well as some of the more aspirational elements of subject leadership in RE.

Using Key Religious Concepts to drive the RE Curriculum

How do we build schema and conceptual knowledge from EYFS up to Year 6?
This session will highlight and begin to map out some of the core concepts that make up religious education and explore how they can be used to drive the RE curriculum as well as using these concepts as a pillar for progression through the primary age ranges and build a rigorous schema.

Harnessing the multi-disciplinary nature of RE.

How do we best exploit the rich multi-disciplinary nature of religious education? This session will look at how we can best harness the multidisciplinary nature of RE and use it to strengthen our RE provision rather than hinder it. We will explore how we can use these disciplines to create a rich and robust curriculum.
