ACE Dance and Music CPD for Primary and Secondary Teachers

Overview:

Birmingham Arts School is running a CPD Programme in 2024 with various arts organisations delivering teacher training sessions. These sessions are a perfect opportunity for teachers to gain new skills, pick up teaching resources and share this new practice with their students. ACE Dance and Music are providing the following CPD as part of our CPD Programme.

ACE Dance and Music CPD for non dance specialists Primary and Secondary Teachers – Wednesday 12th June.

Come to our space for a taste of ACE whilst learning how you can lead your own dance lessons in school. Whether you feel like you have two left feet or two of the right feet we are here to give you the tools and confidence to lead dance in your school.

Using our highly engaging style that embraces both student-led learning and key dance terminology we will show you how you can link any theme and topic to dance, how you can embrace your students’ culture, or embrace a new one, through our fun and creative carnival style.

Come and connect with your local dance company that works regularly in schools across West Midlands and beyond!

Please bring something you can move in, e.g. joggers, trainers, t-shirt.

Lunch provided. Please provide dietary requirements when booking.

 

Who is this course for:

This workshop is ideal for Non Dance Specialists in schools, Aspiring Dance Leads and newly qualified Dance Teachers, Teachers in Primary and Secondary Settings and Headteachers

Course Duration:

Lunch from 1.30pm-2.00pm followed up by practical activity from 2.00pm-4.00pm
