Do you feel you lack the confidence or expertise to deliver dance teaching in your school?
Do you want to discover how students can use movement to express their feelings, experiences and stories and how you can introduce movement across all areas of the curriculum?
Are you interested in how movement and dance can help you explore challenging themes like identity, respect, allyship and self-expression; and address racism, homophobia, ableism and transphobia in your school?
Sonia Sabri Company is an award-winning dance and music company that creates and tours performances nationally and internationally. We have 20 years’ experience of working with schools, cultural organisations and communities in Birmingham, the Black Country and across the UK.
Our CPD (Continuing Professional Development) workshops equip teachers with a creative toolkit to bring dance, music and visual arts into their teaching practice across all areas of the curriculum. Our expertise in South Asian art forms enables us to provide teachers with unique insight and understanding of the rich and diverse heritages of pupils and students today.
“The workshop was fantastic because it allowed you to see how simple you can make storytelling […] you’re not worried about what level the children are in dance. You’re inspiring their creativity – you’re using their creativity to create dance.”
