Ikon: Performance opportunity with artist Melati Suryodarmo
Ikon are currently looking for 30 young people identifying as female and non-binary aged 17-26 to participate in delegated durational performances as part of artist Melati Suryodarmo exhibition this Summer, opening in May!
The performance (voluntary) opportunity is to be involved in Sweet Dreams Sweet by Melati Suryodarmo.\u202F\u202F

About the Performance:
Sweet Dreams Sweet is a durational performance (2 hours) and involves 30 performers, wearing white dress/skirt uniformed costumes. They move in pairs, walking, sitting and lying down around the performance area (Brindleyplace and Ikon Gallery). As part of this, the performers will dip their feet into blue water, staining the white socks blue. See video below.
The performers signify tensions between individual and collective identity for women in Indonesia and around the world.
