FABRIC SCHOOL PROGRAMME

FABRIC SCHOOL PROGRAMME

Who Are We?

FABRIC is a professional dance organisation based in Birmingham and Nottingham, formed from the recent merger of DanceXchange and Dance4. With a combined experience of over 60 years, we have played a pivotal role in the growth and development of dance in the Midlands, connecting audiences with great dance, championing some of the UK’s best artistic talent, and nurturing young performers, choreographers and leaders. FABRIC’s vision is to inspire people through dance, transforming lives, communities and places.

Our School’s Package

Experience tells us that working with schools is a vital way to engage the next generation in dance, and to develop the audiences, performers and leaders of the future. We also know that many schools value professional support in delivering dance and developing their teachers. That’s why we offer a dedicated school’s package, tailored to the needs of your school.

Benefits:

  • An experienced dance practitioner in your school, weekly during term time
  • An approach that empowers, builds confidence, and encourages positive mental wellbeing
  • Potential to use dance to support cross-curricular and topic-based learning
  • After school clubs, holiday projects and summer school activities
  • Links to FABRIC’s performance programme, with inspiring touring companies and choreographers
  • Opportunities to connect with our festivals, as audiences and participants
  • Support with Arts Mark and Arts Award
  • CPD for your dance and PE teachers
  • Taster opportunities for FABRIC’s Centre for Advanced Training and feeder programmes
