FABRIC are teaming up with Sport Birmingham & School Games to deliver a CPD day for SEND teachers and their students. This opportunity is not available to book onto via FABRIC, but if you are interested, please get in touch with lucy.pearson@sportbirmingham.org to get added to their network of SEND Schools.
FABRIC are committed to ensuring there is equitable access to dance opportunities during education, allowing students to realise their passions and talents in supportive environments, with connections to further development programmes. With support from Sports Birmingham, we will be able to tap into a network of SEND schools across the city, opening their eyes to the transformative power of dance.
The teachers will be able to bring students with them, where they’ll get an adjoining day of dance with an inclusive dance artist. Here they will meet likeminded people who also love dance, create choreography together, and experience being in a studio environment.
FREE 6-week Dance Project
Continuing our committment to increasing dance provision in SEND schools, we are working with Sports Brimingham in 2025 to deliver a 6-week dance project in four schools, run by FABRIC dance artists and funded by Sports Birmingham.
FABRIC is keen to build lasting relationships and continued trust across SEND schools, increasing the number of schools that offer dance to their students. Through this project, schools can test out a model at no additional cost, with aims to improve student confidence as well as their physical and mental wellbeing.
If you are a SEND teacher in Birmingham, and like the sound of the above opportunity, get in touch with sophie@fabric.dance to learn more about how FABRIC can introduce dance for your students.
