Birmingham Contemporary Music Group - BCMG Young Composers (Years 7 - 9)

Composing Workshops for young people in Years 7 - 9 (KS3)

BCMG Young Composers is an exciting project for budding composers in Years 7 - 9, offering young people the opportunity to compose for Birmingham Contemporary Music Group musicians guided by composer Kirsty Devaney.

If you have a passion for composing already or would like to try composing for the first time, this project is for you!

Each term we will recruit a cohort of young people to participate in the series of weekend workshops. In these workshops, you will have the opportunity to compose for BCMG musicians and explore a range of composing techniques. The project will culminate in a concert of music created at CBSO Centre which will be filmed and recorded.

All workshops are FREE with an optional donation, but we do ask that you book a place in advance as places are limited. To find out when the next workshop is and book see What's On for Young People!
