This is your reminder that you only have one week left to make nominations for the BAS Celebration Event which provides 10 different exciting awards for schools/teachers/artists to apply to.
For the last three years Birmingham Arts School has run a range of events across Birmingham and it is truly fantastic to see the rich arts offer the City has for children and young people. We want to put a spotlight on arts education and the endeavours of teachers and cultural learning staff across the city.
We are hosting the BAS Celebration Event – an inspirational evening with awards to celebrate cultural learning activity. There are 10 different categories which highlight the work of teachers, arts organisations, artists and placement students.
When is the event? It’s on Tuesday 11th June, at Midlands Arts Centre, from 5.30pm-8.30pm

Where do I get my ticket? Can I buy one if am not shortlisted for an Award?
Absolutely. We want you to feel inspired by the activity taking place in the city, you do not need to be shortlisted to attend the event. There is a fixed fee for all attendees including those who are nominated. There is a £15 fee which will include a welcome drink, a sandwich buffet and an exciting evening of speeches and awards. There will be 3 shortlisted nominees in each category and the winner will be announced at the event. Each category has three judges from the cultural and education sectors who will be responsible for shortlisting and choosing a winner.
Whether or not you are shortlisted, this is a fantastic event to see the incredible work taking place across Birmingham schools, find inspiration on projects you could run in your own schools and learn more about BAS’s vital role in the city.
