#LetUsDance - Arts in Education Advocacy Films
In the past decade, arts education in the UK has suffered drastically due to a shift in educational priorities and the focus on a 'knowledge-based' curriculum.
We are proud to be supporting the Dance Leaders Groups new campaign #LetUsDance to advocate for the importance of arts based subjects on the school curriculum.

'The Future With Dance' film, directly targets this message towards Head Teachers and School Governors; those key decision makers, who have the power to implement these key subjects, and set a precedent for prioritising the arts within the school environment.

Dance, as an integral part of arts education, not only fosters creativity but also supports physical well-being, emotional expression, and social development. By embedding dance into the curriculum, schools can offer a holistic education that nurtures both academic success and personal growth.

The #LetUsDance films highlight the transformative impact of dance on young people's lives, but also serve as incredibly useful resources to support the implementation of dance. For example DLG have shared resources on how to utilise the PE and Sports Premium as a source of funding.

We encourage schools to use these films to empower themselves, their students and their teachers to drive change and ensure every child and young person has access to high–quality dance as part of their education.

Let’s work collaboratively to champion dance in schools and #LetUsDance!
