The Teachers Theatre Network is a programme open to teachers/educators of any discipline currently working in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
The programme supports teachers/educators to connect with Birmingham Hippodrome – from shows, festivals and events to talks, pre/post-show events, networking events and opportunities to meet and connect with other educators, artists and creatives.
We are looking for educators who are curious to broaden their horizons, expand their knowledge and are keen to be advocates for the power of theatre for young people.
Each education setting in the network will receive two places on the programme:
- The first place is for the programme lead in your setting
- The second place is flexible for someone different from your setting to attend each event, to support the creative culture of your setting.
As the programme lead, we would ask you to commit to the following:
- Dates of the programme (as outlined here and below).
- A willingness to bring someone different from your setting to each show/event.
- An openness to engage in conversations you may not normally.
- An appetite to share your experiences and advocate for opportunities for young people to engage with theatre.
There is no cost associated with being part of the Teachers Theatre Network for you as education settings.
