Become a Sampad Associate School for 2024-25!

As we reach the end of our first year of Sampad Associate Schools we would like to invite you to join us on this exciting journey for the coming academic year. We have been working with 8 schools since September, supporting them with both their curriculum and creative priorities, offering a diverse and inclusive Arts Menu across the year. Alongside this we have worked with a further 12 schools on individual enrichment projects and one off days.

Feedback from one of our Sapphire Schools
“SAMPAD has helped enrich our curriculum with their high quality and engaging workshops. We were able to have sessions tailored to our curriculum and to our children which helped to embed their learning in a different format. Teachers spoke of how much the children enjoyed the sessions and how they were able apply skills from other areas of the curriculum. Sessions were linked to varying aspects of our curriculum, including history and RE, as well as to religious festivals that we were celebrating. We received high quality CPD through SAMPAD which was easily integrated into our teaching and which saw immediate impact. The work has been
highly valued by staff and children.”
(M Bashir, Head Teacher: Shirestone Academy)

Please find attached our offer for the 2024-2025 school year. Membership is in three tiers (Ruby, Emerald & Sapphire) which take into account the differing budgets of school/departments. Join us and you not only receive a discount on all our performances and creative workshops, your staff benefit from CPD opportunities and your school gets to host a two week residency of our acclaimed schools touring exhibition ‘City of Empire to City of Diversity – a Visual Journey’ along with a range of classroom resources.

"The project helped the students to connect with their own histories and the wider history of Birmingham and how it came to be the vibrant diverse city they see today."

"After handling and discussing the photos in class, the pupils were set a choice of tasks. Some used it as an opportunity to explore their own family histories; others composed and photographed their own 'Dyche studio' portraits with symbols representing their culture and life today; Others wrote a poem or created a piece of artwork in response to a particular Dyche studio photo. We were overwhelmed by the imaginative and meaningful work which was produced. Using the Dyche studio photos allowed these creative and often personal responses."
(C Thatcher, Head of History – Kings Norton Girls’ School)

We are keen to support your schools individual needs and priorities so please talk with us about any creative focus which isn’t already included and we can look at developing a bespoke offer for you. The half termly dancer in residence (to cover the dance part of the PE curriculum) has been particularly popular in primary schools so if this might be of interest to you, please contact us for a quote stating which term/year group/style of dance you have in mind.

We are mindful that some schools might be already working with another Arts provider or feel that they can’t commit to membership at this time but would like to bring us in for a specific event or celebration. Please look at our Diwali performance ‘Spirit of Light’ and our new one off wow event : Flashmob in a day or speak to us about booking an artist – facilitator to run a one day residency with a particular year group or class.

If you are ready to become a Sampad Associate School please complete and return the enclosed form (by June 30th to be entitled to the Early Bird prices) along with the expression of interest in the workshops and performances and the ‘City of Empire to City of Diversity booking sheet.

Alternatively If you would like a member of the team to meet with you for a no obligation chat to look at how we might support your needs next year please email us on learning@sampad.org.uk and we can arrange to either come in or book a phone call at a convenient time.
